I was born in Rousay Bazaar Kalimpong on 22nd February 1988
Tell us about your parents:
I am the eldest son of my parents Nar Bahadur Kalikotey and Jai Maya Kalikotey. My father is a garage’s welder and mother did many odd jobs to support my education along with my siblings. They always supported me in all the hard times of our life. The courage and the commitment that they have shown for me is really commendable. In a sentence I’ll say I have got the best parents in the world.

What did you choose after +2?
I went for an engineering course in Electronics and Communication Engineering
Why did you choose Electronics and Communication Engineering?
As per the growing trends ECE is the most versatile branch of Engineering. It is one of the most challenging branches of 21st century as it is developing constantly in every second of the day. Besides, it was one of my favorites too. So, it was natural for me to choose this branch.
At present you one line status:
Working as a Programmer Analyst in Cognizant Kolkata branch.

In 2002 topped the sent-up examination and thereby got the Earl of Lytton’s Dux Prize from SUM Institution

In 2003 passed Madhyamik Pariksha becoming the Sub-divisional topper of Kalimpong Sub-division and was awarded the P.R. Pradhan Merit Award

In 2005 passed plus 2 becoming the Sub-divisional topper of Kalimpong Sub-division

Joined Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College in the Department of Electronics and Communication, in the year 2005 and passed my B.Tech with a DGPA of 8.2 in the year 2009.

How has Success affected you?
First and foremost success has given me confidence, then made me responsible and helped me to realize my priorities and helped me to set my goals. Precisely, it helped in my overall development to make me a responsible person in society and a responsible citizen to my nation.
You choose an IT as you career, how did your parents motivated in reaching your goal?
It is because of the motivation and support I have got from my parents I am able to reach my goal.
Parents always have a pivotal role to play for the success of their children and my parents were no exception to that.
Who would you thank in making your Career?
In my list of thanksgiving I would first like to thank the almighty, then my parents whose motivation was really commendable. I would like to thank my teachers who showed me the light in my journey of education. I would like to thank all the social organizations and individuals who helped me during my hard days and let me realize my dreams.
Society no doubt is a vital part of life…. How would you define this?
Indeed society is the vital part of life as it is bounded by functional interdependence and characterized by the social solidarity. And yes I am proud to be a part of our society which has shown such functional maturity in this age of globalization.

If get chance I would like to go for higher studies.
Is there any message to the young Generation of our Society?
Open yourselves to challenges. Prepare yourself accordingly, work hard and try to excel in your field of interest. If you will succeed than along with you, your family than, society than, nation will succeed.
